2026 Buick Encore GX Trim Level Breakdown

There are three 2026 Buick Encore GX trims, each one a great choice for weekday commutes, weekend getaways, and easy, efficient inner-city living. Powertrains

Two engines are available for this new Buick car. The first choice, which comes standard on the Preferred trim, is a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder rated at 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The second engine, which is optional for the Preferred and standard on the Sport Touring and Avenir trims, is a 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder that outputs 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. Both engines can be paired with front-wheel drive (FWD) and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), or all-wheel drive (AWD) and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Preferred

Exterior standard features for the Preferred trim include 18-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels, LED headlights, and keyless entry and start. Inside this model, there's ample cargo space, with 40/60 split rear seats for added configurability.

On the tech side, Preferred gets an 8-inch reconfigurable driver information display and the exceptional Ultrawide 11-inch infotainment screen, which integrates wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. This trim also comes with Buick Driver Confidence, a package containing next-gen safety features like Front Pedestrian Braking and IntelliBeam® Auto High Beams.

Sport Touring

This is the high-styler of the lineup. With its 18-inch gloss black wheels and a gloss-black grille and front fascia with unique black accents, there's no mistaking it at our Waterford, MI Buick dealership. Meanwhile, in its cabin, Sport Touring (ST) features the same infotainment and safety features as Preferred while adding a flat-bottom steering wheel and leatherette seating with the ST logo embroidered on the head cushions.

Avenir
